High School Diploma or Equivalent1 2 years PBX and/or switchboard experience preferred1 2 years Customer Service experienceDispatcher experience preferredExperience in public address announcing and various paging functions preferredKnowledge of medical terminology preferredHospital Experience PreferredPC and Keyboard Experience with the ability to accurately type 25 wpm preferredAbility to speak English FluentlyStrong Communications skills StrongCustomer Service Skills Strong ability to work within a team settingPleasant voice tactful deliveryAbility to sit for extended periods.
Ability to communicate via phone handheld radio and pager.
Ability to read board screens and overhead monitors and document events/situations.
Must be willing to work weekends holidays and different shifts in order to accommodate staffing needs.
Must be able to maintain composure work under very stressful emergency situations and handle difficult people.
Purpose:
The Communications Center Representative is the link between the external and internal customers in the delivery of prompt efficient customer focused service.
To provide timely and efficient customer service which meets the expectation of the patient and the user departments.
Performance measurement is utilized to identify assess and evaluate performance monitors to improve key processes and key result areas.
Execute required functions of the following Communications Center systems TeleTracking TMS software systems Alcatel and AMCOM systems and hospital radio/paging systems.
Respond to all emergency requests predicaments etc.
quickly and efficiently.
As a team member of the Communications Center in addition to the specific responsibilities outlined below you are expected to follow the Behavior's of Excellence and demonstrate the MVP's of the hospital.
Accountabilities:
Communications Operator ActivitiesDepartmental ActivitiesDispatcher and Customer Service Activities.
