Major
Responsibilities:
Orient,train new volunteers, and re-train volunteers as appropriate to new procedures.
Schedule volunteers on a weekly basis.
Under the direction of the Supervisor, assign and delegate tasks to volunteers.
3)Ensure all volunteers are held accountable for all policies and Behaviors of Excellence.
1)Assist with the training of volunteers in order to provide continuous efficient service during hours of operation.
Update the volunteers on hospital policies and store procedures.
2)Maintain appropriate volunteer staffing levels.
Provide input to Supervisor on staffing issues in a timely manner.
Assures merchandise is priced accurately and for maximum sales potential by verifying volunteers appropriately pricing items/donations.
Continually observe resale market to assure competitive pricing for maximum sales potential.
4) Create store displays and maintain the two display cases in the hospital.
1) Accountable for competitively pricing jewelry, antiques and any items researched following established policies and procedures according to the current resale market.
2) Coordinate the pulling of, out of code, merchandise.
Make decisions whether items should be re-priced or donated.
3) Utilize space in an efficient manner and in compliance with safety and fire codes Use Microsoft Office programs to maintain working shop lists.
These include, but are not limited to, schedule, flyers, store signage, pricing sheets and pull sheets.
Maintain all additional lists necessary to perform duties.
6) Take pictures, process into the computer and create storyboards to market the shop.
1) Update and make corrections to the volunteer manual and Standard Operating Procedure manual under the direction of the Supervisor.
2) Assist with clerical duties as assigned by Resale Shop Supervisor.
3) Maintain current lists of customers and volunteers.
These include, but are not limited to, birthday club, customer and volunteer email lists.
4) Work with Public Affairs and Marketing to promote the shop with media marketing.
Ensure weekly signs are posted and 1/2 price sales advertised.
5)Create email blasts to customers and volunteers using Constant Contact.
Promote the shop in the Chamber activities calendar.
Accountable for all cash register and credit card machine transactions.
Stay on track with the marketing and sales goals and objectives which are established annually.
1) Responsible for counting down and balancing the register and credit card transactions.
2) Responsible for keeping coinage and currency on hand.
Demonstrate a commitment to Behaviors of Excellence to satisfy customer's needs and to exceed customers' expectations.
1) Maintain good relationships with customers, patients and volunteers.
Handle all complaints and incidents as they occur.
Document as appropriate.
2) Support Supervisor in maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times 3) Fill in at register whenever staffing is short.
Help at register to speed up service and assure customer satisfaction.
Follow the Behaviors of Excellence when dealing with customer complaints and always use Service Recovery appropriately.
Other Responsibilities 1)Collaborate with Supervisor and AGSH associates to maintain adequate building maintenance.
This includes, but not limited to, roof, gutters, three furnaces, annual septic and sump pump maintenance, housekeeping, interior and exterior maintenance, pest control and monitoring the parking lot for safety.
2) Order supplies for shop and office.
Other duties as assigned.
3) Assure shelving and display pieces are properly maintained.
4) Maintain a safe working environment with attention to health and safety issues for volunteers and customers.
Education/Experience Required:
High school diploma 3 years clerical/ administrative assistant experience Resale and/or volunteer supervisory experience preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Proficient in Word.
Knowledgeable in Excel and Access Basic understanding of Constant Contact Experience with cash register and credit card transactions None Physicial Requirements and Working Conditions:
On call as needed 6 day coverage Up to 9 hour shifts Occasional travel Ability to lift 30 pounds Stairs, multiple times per day This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected of the incumbent.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
