Maintenance Apprentice - 3rd Shift

General Summary
Responsible for repairs of plant equipment, adjustments, lubrication, and preventative maintenance. Also, need to follow established procedures and work instructions for job responsibilities and assignments.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Make repairs to machines as needed.
2. Follow company policies and programs including but not limited to Safety, HAACP, GMP, SQF, Fall Protection.
3. Maintains plant equipment by interpreting shop manuals and schematic drawings; through verbal instruction from supervisor/coworkers.
4. Must have mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools correctly and safely.
5. Ability to retain and recall detailed, technical information.
6. Performs precise measurements and test.
7. Must satisfactorily complete outside job related courses
8. Responsible for preventative maintenance activities on plant equipment.
9. Use SAP as required.
10. Follow all approved procedures and work instructions.
11. Participate in Root Cause Analysis process using tools such as 5-Why and other problem solving methods.
12. Maintain good work area housekeeping practices according to 5S standards.
13. Follow all safety rules.
14. Assist with rework function.
15. Basic computer knowledge to provide reports and/or data and documentation in various programs including Microsoft Office, SAP and E-mail.
16. Perform all other duties as assigned by Management.
Job Specifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); two years related manufacturing experience is preferred. Be able to competently and safely troubleshoot mechanical issues with processing/packaging equipment. Knowledge and experience with basic hand tools is necessary.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
Forklift Operator Certification if applicable

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
