WHAT DOES A TRANSFER PRICING PRACTICE TAX LAW SPECIALIST DO? IRS employs Tax Law Specialists (TLS) in many areas throughout the Service. The position seeks a TLS for the Transfer Pricing Practice (TPP) under the direction of the Director, Transfer Pricing Operations. The incumbent is an expert in the analysis and application of significant international tax compliance issues relating to Internal Revenue Code (IRC) 482 and corresponding Treasury Regulations. The incumbent works directly with IRS Examination Teams, participating as a technical expert and often as a team member in the examination of transfer pricing issues on the returns of corporate taxpayers. Core responsibilities include developing audit plans for transfer pricing transactions, functional analysis fact gathering, preparing position papers/proposed adjustments and presenting such positions to taxpayers
WHAT IS THE LARGE BUSINESS AND INTERNATIONAL (LB&I;) DIVISION OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE? The Large Business and International (LB&I;) business unit provides service and enforcement activities to support tax compliance of businesses and related entities with assets of $10 million or more, as well as small U.S. businesses engaged in international, U.S. citizens abroad, and foreign persons and businesses with a U.S. tax requirement. As our name suggests, international tax administration is an important part of what we do in LB&I.; As part of the LB&I; team, you will be assigned to work in International. Regardless of where you serve, you will be supported by a variety of specialists (economists, engineers, field specialists and technical advisors) as you tackle the most complex tax issues.
Three (3) positions to be filled in LB&I;, International, Transfer Pricing Operation (TPP) in any of the following locations: Chicago, IL; Downers Grove, IL; Blooinington, MN; Brooklyn Center, MN; Columbus, OH; Independence, OH; Farmer''s Branch, TX OR Denver, CO.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
